The i2i Center for Integrative Health is pleased to offer a new FREE resource to school systems, System of Care teams and collaboratives and health and human service stakeholders!  We have been working with some incredible subject matters to develop a three-part webinar series, Creating a Trauma-Informed Culture in School Systems using Implementation Science”.  The overarching goal for this Learning Collaborative series is to establish a firm understanding of the importance of creating trauma-informed cultures within the school setting and to provide a framework to do so.

  • One out of every four children in school has been exposed to a traumatic event.
  • Approximately two out of three children has been exposed to violence. 50% who were victimized reported more than one type of victimization.
  • 1 in 6 children and youth report 6 or more exposures to violence.,
  • One state education association found that 32 percent of educators feared for student safety at school and 25 percent of educators were concerned about their own safety at school.
  • Another state education association noted that their top workers compensation claims were due to injuries caused by students.

We encourage you to share this series far and wide!  Our goal is to provide resources that you can use within your organization and to also provide you a resource that you can use to reach out to your community partners.  After all, collaboration and partnership are at the heart of System of Care and Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child principles!
