The i2i Center for Integrative Health announced today a partnership with OPEN MINDS and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to support AdvaNCe Health Together, a new Learning Community designed to help Community Behavioral Health Clinics build the competencies necessary for Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) readiness. This collaborative model will provide structured training and networking opportunities to strengthen access to whole-person care across the state.
CCBHCs provide comprehensive mental health and substance use services for children and adults, including outpatient primary care screening and monitoring, key components in improving population health and advancing integrated care. The AdvaNCe Health Learning Community is intended to help community-based clinics prepare for this model by offering a one-stop approach for individuals seeking care.
An in-person kickoff event for AdvaNCe Health Together is scheduled to occur in conjunction with the i2i Center for Integrative Health Winter Conference in January 2026 at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem. The i2i Center will support the work of OPEN MINDS in delivering in-depth training and expert consultation to participating organizations, addressing the operational, financial and clinical requirements of integrated care.
AdvaNCe Health Together was developed in response to North Carolina’s evolving healthcare landscape, including the rollout of Medicaid Tailored Plans which offer coverage for physical and mental health, pharmacy and care management for people with a behavioral health, intellectual or developmental disability. All NC Medicaid Tailored Plans are invited to participate side by side with the CCBHC and CCBHC-like providers in this opportunity.
The i2i Center for Integrative Health has offered training and conferences to North Carolina behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disability providers and stakeholders for over thirty years. OPEN MINDS, a national leader in market intelligence and management consulting for the health and human services field, will lead the educational and consultative components of the Learning Community, drawing on extensive experience in organizational development and integrated care delivery.
“The future of care is integrated, and this Learning Community will provide expert practical, hands-on strategies necessary for North Carolina’s leading provider organizations to achieve clinical excellence and financial sustainability in this new environment,” said Monica Oss, CEO of OPEN MINDS. Ms. Oss is also the keynote speaker at the i2i Center for Integrative Health winter conference.
Provider organizations operating CCBHC or CCBHC-like models for integrated care will be invited to participate as the inaugural cohort of the AdvaNCe Health Together Learning Community. If you are interested in more information, please contact Info@TrilliumNC.org.
