The i2i Center and Benchmarks teamed up to offer a webinar for Providers, Managers and others on incorporating System of Care (SOC) into provider services under the Tailored Plan. System of Care offers a proven national model to increase value-based, whole person care for children and their families in NC.
System of Care is a national set of guiding principles that includes interagency collaboration, individualized strengths-based care, cultural competence, family and youth involvement, community-based services and accountability.
Leading the webinar presentation were Liz Manley, Clinical Instructor for Health and Behavioral Health Policy for The Institute for Innovation and Implementation. She is a national expert on System of Care and led New Jersey’s implementation efforts to integrate I-DD, SUD and physical health into their Children’s System of Care program. She was joined by NC Division of MH/DD/SAS Community Mental Health Section Chief, Saarah Waleed, LMHC, LCMHC, CASAC, NCC to discuss how the our state plans to incorporate SOC into the Tailored Plan.
