(October 25, 2018) Eastpointe is now a high level Champion Supporter for the i2i Center for Integrative Health.
Mary Hooper, i2i Center Executive Director said, “I am so pleased that Eastpointe is now a Champion supporter. Eastpointe has a clear commitment to improving and expanding whole person integrated care in their region. We welcome Eastpointe’s leadership to our i2i Advisory Circle to assist us with policy issues, offer expertise, and provide feedback. I commend Sarah Stroud for her leadership of the Eastpointe team as they work with their local communities. The Eastpointe staffs’ recent, and continued, efforts related to hurricane relief are particularly praiseworthy. At times, staff prioritized consumers’ needs over their own, offering to help clients find resources when their own were very much compromised. I very much respect the Eastpointe staff for that. We appreciate their Champion-level support.”
Sarah Stroud, Eastpointe CEO, said, “The i2i Center fills a critical need for the behavioral health community. The challenges we face continue to grow. Now more than ever we need to collaborate, develop better ideas and, most importantly, turn those ideas into results. The i2i Center’s ability to work across all of our stakeholders, and their staff’s unmatched implementation experience, will produce these results. On behalf of our members, Eastpointe is excited to support i2i’s efforts.”
The i2i Center has won several grants and begun a number of projects since its inception in January 2018. These include: the I’m IN Community Inclusion Initiative, a new effort to promote community inclusion for individuals with mental illness. The Cross-Systems GPS: Guiding People & Systems initiative that will develop recommendations for the NC DHHS about how individuals with I/DD and their families can best be supported to effectively navigate across various service systems (cross-system navigation) as DHHS moves toward implementation of Medicaid Transformation. We also have two value-based payment projects, one is a Policy Collaborative working to solve issues around value-based purchasing between LME/MCOs and Providers in NC. We also received a grant that will expand value-based care practices and payment strategies for public safety net provider-including both behavioral health and primary health—by creating state learning & action collaboratives, engaging with local stakeholders, and advancing policy. Finally, i2i is getting ready for its largest conference of the year, Visionary Voices – December 5-7, 2018 in Pinehurst, NC.
