Behavioral Health Organizations Names Speaker Moore Legislator of the Year

Gastonia, N.C. – Partners Behavioral Health Management has named North Carolina House Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland) its 2018 Legislator of the Year.

Partners is a managed care organization serving patients in central and western North Carolina.

It administers mental health, substance use disorder, and intellectual and developmental disability services to citizens covered by Medicaid and state insurance.

“Partners appreciates Speaker Moore’s commitment to our mission of ‘improving lives and strengthening communities,'” said Partners’ Chief Executive Officer Rhett Melton.

“His leadership and support have ensured that healthcare decisions are made by local citizens working together in their communities to make certain that individuals have the chance for fulfilling lives and that no one
is left behind.”

Speaker Moore thanked Partners for its outreach efforts in collaboration with the state and behavioral health providers.

“Partners serves our most vulnerable populations and makes a big impact through the services they offer patients and their investments in our local communities,” Moore said.

Partners ensures behavioral health care providers meet strict standards for the services they offer patients in coordination with state regulations.

“Speaker Moore’s leadership has made the region and the state a better place to live, work, and play,” Melton said.

“Even more than the results of his tireless efforts, I thank the Speaker and applaud him for the way he executes his duties; with the highest level of integrity and a commitment to principled leadership.”

“We are proud to recognize and honor him as the 2018 Partners Legislator of the Year.”
